【 Main Ingredients 】 Fluorophenicol

【 Appearance 】 This product is a colorless or pale yellow clear liquid.

Pharmacological effects: Fluphenicol belongs to the class of broad-spectrum amide antibiotics and is a bacteriostatic agent. It exerts its effects by binding to the 50S subunit of ribosomes and inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial proteins. Has strong antibacterial activity against various Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. Hemolytic Pasteurella, Pasteurella multocida, and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae are highly sensitive to florfenicol. In vitro, the antibacterial activity of florfenicol against many microorganisms is similar or stronger than that of methicillin. Some bacteria that are resistant to amide alcohols due to acetylation, such as Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae, may still be sensitive to florfenicol.

Mainly used for bacterial diseases caused by sensitive bacteria in pigs, chickens, and fish, such as respiratory system diseases in cattle and pigs caused by hemolytic Pasteurella, Pasteurella multocida, and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae. Salmonella induced typhoid and paratyphoid fever, chicken cholera, chicken dysentery, Escherichia coli disease, etc; Bacterial sepsis, enteritis, and red skin disease in fish caused by Pasteurella, Vibrio, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterobacteriaceae.

Pharmacokinetic Fluphenicol is rapidly absorbed by oral administration, and the therapeutic concentration can be reached in the blood after about 1 hour. The peak blood drug concentration can be reached within 1-3 hours. The bioavailability is over 80%. Flufenicol is widely distributed in animals and can penetrate the blood-brain barrier. Mainly excreted in its original form from urine, with a small amount excreted with feces.

Drug Interactions

(1) Macrolides and lincolamines have the same target of action as this product, both of which bind to the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes and can produce mutual antagonistic effects when used in combination.

(2) It may antagonize the bactericidal activity of penicillin or aminoglycoside drugs, but it has not been proven in animals yet.

[Function and Use] Amide alcohol antibiotics. Used for infections caused by Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli.

[Usage and Dosage] Calculate based on this product. Mixed drink: Take 1-1.5ml of chicken per 1L of water for 5 consecutive days.

Adverse reactions: This product has a certain immunosuppressive effect when used at doses higher than the recommended level.
