Indication

PENSTREP FORTE 450 Injectable suspension is indicated for use against infections caused by organisms susceptible to Penicillin or Streptomycin, including:Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp. Pasteurella multocida, Pasteurella haemolytica, Corynebacterium pyogenes, Klebsiella pneumonia, Listeria spp, and Salmonella spp.
PENSTREP FORTE 450 is effective in the treatment of both local and systemic diseases caused by susceptible organisms including: urogenital tract infections; respiratory tract infections e.g. pneumonia; listeriosis; meningitis; septicaemia; enteritis caused by Salmonella spp., toxaemia associated with mastitis; salmonellosis; Strangles; and the control of secondary bacterial infections.
The combination of penicillin and dihydrostreptomycin is especially useful in the treatment of mixed infections involving both Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.

Doses:

The recommended daily dose for cattle, horses, sheep, goats, dog and cat is 8 mg procaine penicillin and 10 mg dihydrostreptomycin sulphate per kg body weight , administered as 1 ml Penstrep Forte 450 per 25 kg bodyweight.
The dose should be given once daily by deep intramuscular injection for up to three consecutive days.
Suggested dosing table

Withdrawal period:

Meat consumption allowed after 30 days from the last application.
Milk consumption allowed after 3 days from the last application.
Dispose of meat and milk according to the veterinarian’s recommendation.

Pack Size:

Bottles of 50 ml and 100ml.

Storage and Expired Time:

Store at a temperature below 30℃ away from direct sunlight.

The Volume of administration should not exceed the following per site of injection:
15 ml in horses; 6 ml in cattle; 3 ml in sheep and goats.
